First Future Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening In Poway By Giving Back To Community

SAN DIEGO, CA – April 11, 2007 - When you think of First Future Credit Union, the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” comes to mind. Being involved in its’ community is in large part what makes credit unions so unique over banks and other financial institutions. And in an effort to integrate itself into the community of Poway, First Future’s newest branch is celebrating its grand opening by giving back to the community.

Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the month of April, First Future Credit Union is hosting grand opening celebrations with food, fun, music and activities all centered on benefiting several organizations in Poway.

Every Saturday, students from one of the athletic teams or civic organizations at Poway High School are taking part in First Future Credit Union’s “Interior No-Water Car Wash.” Car detailing such as tire care, interior vacuuming, window washing and upholstery treatment will be available for a suggested donation of $10 per car. Gross proceeds from each Saturday’s event will go to benefit that group and in addition, First Future Credit Union will match and donate funds to Poway High School’s “Class of 2007 Grad Nite.” Members of the Poway High Girl’s Varsity La Crosse Team have already raised over $800 in donations!

On Sunday, April 22nd First Future Credit Union will also host a classic car show and “People Choice Awards” sponsored in part by Poway Transmissions and the Motorhead Madness Car Show. Participants will include entrants of past Motorhead Madness shows and for every classic car on display; First Future Credit Union will donate $25 to Soroptimist International of Poway.

And also on Sunday, April 22nd look to the skies for a huge surprise as First Future Credit Union will be bringing hot air balloon rides to the Poway Street Fair! For just $5 per person, participants will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride in an actual hot air balloon soaring at a height of up to 100 feet over Poway. The hot air balloon rides will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit the Poway Chamber of Commerce.
