JOB OBJECTIVE:
This position is accountable for greeting members, processing transactions and requests from members coming into the branch, promoting credit union products and services, and maintaining proper security controls.
NATURE & SCOPE:
- Demonstrate quality service and a positive image of the credit union by greeting members as they enter the branch. Process member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Answer questions about credit union products and services, and identify cross-selling opportunities, referring members to the Member Service Consultants. Accountable to meet/exceed sales and service goals as determined by management. Perform account file maintenance and other administrative duties as assigned. Promptly answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, continually seeking to exceed the caller's expectations.
- Possess an understanding of branch policies and procedures, compliance laws, and the Teller Manual. Ensure compliance with daily cash drawer balancing and limits by periodically reviewing cash levels. Identify questionable or suspicious transaction activity, reporting it to management in order to protect the credit union from potential losses.
- CUSC Branches - Knowledgeable on all FSCC Policies and Procedures that are unique to a Service Center environment. This includes transaction processing and limitations, hold requirements, service standards and restrictions, and boundaries for promoting products and service to non-members.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of previous sales, customer service, and cash handling experience in a financial institution is preferred (1-2 years for Teller II, 2-3 years for Teller III).
- Possess a professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Windows applications and other office machinery is required. Symitar preferred.

- Refer members to appropriate staff for sales opportunities.
- Remain flexible to changing job responsibilities and situations.
- Keep informed on all regulatory updates and applies them as needed.
