First Future's Proud History
In 2001 Kearny Mesa Financial Credit Union (KMF) and Santel Federal Credit Union merged to form First Future Credit Union. KMF was founded in 1939 as Solar Employees Credit Union. In 1947 San Diego Telephone Employees Credit Union was founded to serve employees of Pacific Bell, AT&T and Western Electric which later became Santel. Over the years the credit unions evolved expanding their field of membership to over 400 companies we call Select Employer Groups.
First Future Credit Union is $900 million strong, serving 60,000 members, their friends and families. To meet the needs of our growing membership, we operate 19 branch offices with 20 ATMs, a full service Telephone Express Center, and 24-hour personal online banking, internet bill pay and an automated telephone banking system.
